Code of Honour Pledge The Code of Honour Pledge is the central criterion of conduct for all who are a part of the WIST community. It is a concept of personal honour based on the principles of integrity, commonsense, reverence for God, esteem for man, and respect for social and spirituals laws. I PLEDGE to apply myself wholeheartedly to my intellectual pursuits and to use the full powers of my mind for the glory of God. I PLEDGE to grow in my spirit in developing my own relationship with God. I PLEDGE to develop my body with sound health habits through the required Physical Education Program. I PLEDGE to cultivate good relationships socially with others and to seek to love others as i love myself. I will not lie; I will not curse, nor will I be disrespectful, whether on or off campus. I PLEDGE to keep my total being under subjection from all immoral and illegal acts and habits, whether on or off campus. I will not engage in other behaviour that is contrary to the rules and regulations listed in the Student Handbook. I PLEDGE to maintain the integrity of "openness" to God's claims on my life, and to do my utmost to know and follow His will for my life. I PLEDGE to attend class, all required chapel services on campus, and to attend the house of worship of my choice wherever God is honoured and lifted up. I PLEDGE to abide by the rules and regulations that may from time to time be adopted by WIST Admistration. I will keep the Honour Code carefully and prayerfully. Code of Personal Conduct When students attend Bible School, their friends, church, family and the world in general expect a higher standard of life from them. There are many details of campus life which of necessity must be regulated by the school. As a result, personal standards of life must be on the very highest plane, not only to assist the students in forming life-long habits which honor the Lord, but also to protect the name of the school form variations of conduct which, though sincere, might be misunderstood by others. |
