Accreditation
The People’s Cathedral School maintains full accreditation status with the Barbados Ministry of Education the Barbados governing body responsible for curriculum. Every effort is made to teach the material using a variety of methods thereby catering to visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners.
The school believes that a child that reads is a child that succeeds. Preschoolers through Infants B learn to read and Class 1 through class 4 read to learn. Everyday, there is USSR (Uninterupted, Sustained, Silent, Reading) time. There is also a tutoring program where students are seen on a one-on-one basis to assist in any area of weakness in Reading and Mathemactics.
Of the 80 primary schools in the country, The People’s Cathedral School has been ranked 2nd in English and 3rd in Mathematics. In 2004 the People’s Cathedral School had the top marks in Mathematics for the local primary school examining body: BSCEE
