Statement of Philosophy

We at the People’s Cathedral School, completely depending on the Holy Spirit, are executing the task the Lord put before us of teaching children in the power of the Holy Spirit and excellence. To effectively complete our purpose, it is imperative that we seek a proper relationship; it is through our Saviour Jesus Christ that a student is educated spirit, mind and body.

At the people’s Cathedral School, our students are taught to strengthen their spirit by memorizing scripture and studying and imitating the character and nature of Jesus Christ on a daily basis. Our students are taught to develop their minds by working diligently to master all their subject material. Our students are taught to develop their bodies with exercise.

According to John 3:3, “. . . unless you are born-again you can never see the Kingdom of God,” we know that all truth is God’s truth, and Jesus Christ is central to all truth; not simply from a spiritual stand point, but also in history, in geography, in music, in the arts and ultimately in the universe.

1 Corinthians 8:6 states, “But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in Him: and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by Him.” Furthermore, Colossians 1:6-17 states, “For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones , or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: and He is before all things and by Him all things consist.”

Based on these scriptures, we believe that the concepts fundamental to education are:

God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and the Source of all truth.

God maintains control over His entire universe.

Truth is only understood and realized in the light of Christ as Saviour of the world, and His purpose in the earth.

Since all truth extends from God and the Person of Jesus Christ, all truth must be obtained from a Christ-centered position.
